Calling Bootstrap Programmers

So I recently started using Bootstrap. Took me a couple of days to get the drop-menus to work but I eventually got it to work. Now we threw it into a site that we are trying to build off of, one that is already completed. There are custom settings done to the navigation bar and it’s throwing off the toggle button when you minimize the window down to not full-screen. We eventually got it to work adding an override hamburger glyphicon but I’m wondering if there is another way to get the original to show. If I turn off the custom settings set in our CSS and let the default run, the toggle button shows up. However we lose the custom colors we have set up for the navigation bar and it’s setting. Any ideas on how to fix this without the hamburger glyphicon?

It is not on my WordPress, it’s an in class assignment we are working on.
